A bit misleading…

I only got 6 of them right on the ethnicity sorter. I felt confused by a lot of them…. half of them looked white to me! It was a lot harder than I thought it would be in the beginning. There were a couple that I just really had no clue on and guessed! I tried to picture people of that certain ethnicity that I know and compare the pictures to them and the way they looked. That’s not the best way to go about it! I guess that just goes to show that people can be different, even if they look the same in my eyes. I mean, everyone is different, but looking a certain way sometimes gives misconceptions about people prematurely. I know I’m guilty of this, but this exercise shows that people aren’t always on the inside what they appear to be on the outside.
I agree! I had no idea that would be as hard as it was. I guess that shows people how many misconceptions people have when they classify people of different ethnic backgrounds.
Yeah, I did it again and only got 8 right! I feel like a bad person! I don’t mean to classify and judge people, but it’s all I know to do!!
I had a lot of misconceptions also. I’m usually not one to judge that much so it was really hard in the first place.
I do judge, much more than I should and I still had a hard time!
omg i felt so bad for choosing the wrong ones. I felt like if the people in the pictures knew what I was choosing, they would get mad or offended or something. Real big eye opener…
In total agreement with you there! I didn’t realize how bad I was until this exercise. I can’t believe I thought they were all white!
